Sports Knee Injury

A keen sportsman in his own right, Owen has decades of experience treating knee injuries and supporting patients through the entire process from treatment to recovery and to returning to the sport they love.
Mr Wall is now able to offer Arthrosamid® injections for sufferers through his private practice at Spire Hospital Leeds.
Arthrosamid® is a new type of treatment that offers osteoarthritis patients an effective alternative to current therapies. It is a non-biodegradable hydrogel (iPAAG) that is injected into the knee to cushion the joint and relieve pain.
ACL Injury
Treatment options are tailored to the patient’s injury spectrum and their individual expectations of return to sports and activities. Non-operative treatment of ACL injuries can be as effective as operative treatment dependent on a number of factors.
There is excellent evidence to show that operative treatment of ACL disruption, coupled with a comprehensive rehabilitation programme, can enable individuals to return to their previous level of sport.
Not all meniscal tears require or need surgery, and the presence of a tear is not always the reason why an individual may have knee pain, which is why it’s important to have a thorough clinical assessment and have a recent MRI scan.
